theres a list on rotten tomatoes of the best comic book movies ever made. spider man 2 is number 1. i think batman begins was much better than some of those and should be higher. and i dont know why superman the movie is on there. that movie sucked!!!! im glad to see oldboy on there though! www.rottentomatoes.com/features/special/2007/comic/

Not all of the movies on there are comic books, but I guess there wouldn't be 94 movies. If there was there would be a whole lot of really crappy movies on it. I don't agree with the rankings, but one of my buddies told me before, "Don't pay attention to the numbers, as long as it's on there." I guess he is right, because the Spider-Man, X-Men, and Blade movies would pretty much take over the top ten. The original Superman and Batman Begins also would be on there. I also liked 300 and Sin City.

I guess they consider graphic novels in with the comic genre. Sin City and 300 were both graphic novels by Frank Miller. I agree with you about Batman Begins. I don't see why it wouldn't be ranked high on anyone's list, but I guess some people have a little difference in opinion. I thought that it said that these ratings were from the opinions of critics, and everyone knows that they never know what they are talking about. I don't know which Superman he is talking about, but I didn't think that any of them were ranked very high. Elektra was ranked like 94th, and I thought it should at least be ranked in the top 30. I was actually very surprised by this movie. I didn't think the character of Elektra was interesting enough to have her own movie. Jennifer Garner is great in this movie and so are the villians.

BATMAN BEGINS is high on most people's list because it takes a look at our economic situation (our recession is spun through the lens of Gotham's depression) much like the first issues of Detective Comics Bob Kane must have loved the challenge of creating a super rich hero at a time when 25% of the nation was on the dole. A great line in that movie was delievered by the mob boss character...er...what's-his-name ,'you're Bruce Wayne, the crown prince of Gotham. You'd have to travel over 2000 miles away just to meet someone who dosen't know your name' i'm paraphrasing (at best) . Point is for most marvel fans Bats seems well...lame. Stupid sidekicks (what the hell is a bat doing hanging out with a robin?...never seen it on animal planet) and bat-tech, (bat-boat, bat-a-rang, batmobile, bat-wing, I could go on) etc. Etc. Anyhoo Batman Begins makes even us haters look at the character in a different light. some of us 'haters' even start to do the unbelievable....read dc comics. anyways i'm rambling. Iron Man for very similar reasons is a great movie. Tony Stark prior to being held captive and seeing first hand the error of his ways is very much who Bruce Wayne pretends to be, thingyy, uncaring, distant, just over all a rich schmuck we'd never view as a hero. Stan Lee said in an interview once that he wanted to create a hero who was the exact opposite of the thoughts of the masses back in the 1960's. A hawk/war profiteer who decides to rid the world of the weapons he's created. So i guess i have a thing for brooding billionaire playboys. That being said on the opposite end of the super hero economic spectrum, i'd love to see a reboot of Daredevil and can't wait to see Green Arrow

Well I for one fell asleep in Superman returns. A lot of people are excited about Brian Singer coming back to the X - Men franchise but I'm not one of them. The problem with Singer is he freely admitted he didnt want to do a "super hero" movie...HELLO!!! It's a movie based of a COMIC BOOK!!!

IMHO, Spider-Man 2 best demonstrates the pressures and struggles of the superhero.

Uh-oh...I just saw The Dark Knight a couple of weeks ago, and I have to admit that it is the best superhero movie I've ever seen (and I've seen almost every popular one). It beats my previous favorite, Spider-Man 2, into Ant-Man sized dust (sorry Spidey, you're better than Bats, but you don't have Heath Ledger in your movie).

I like the X-Men series. X-Men First Class was great! I like the Superman movies as well. It's hard not to like Superman unless somebody really does a crappy job on making the movie.
