Why is it, that sometimes victims of sexual assaults are hated by society, when the perpetrators should be hated for what they had done? Is it because, we, who have not been assaulted, can easily think that those who could't protect themselves were easy, or they were asking for it? Is it because regular people don't welcome those sort of things, but the victims "did"? Why is it so easy to judge the victims? Why do people fall under the cahrming spell of the perpetrators? This is a lot of questions that I am asking, but I want to what your opinions are. Maybe it could help me understand the cruelty of it all.

This is a very deep subject wathanaketh and one that I feel should be addressed. I have no clue as to how or why a lady (or gentleman for that matter) could be sexually assaulted and then have it turned around on them to make them look like they are the one that should be punished. That is such BS!!! It's no wonder that so many cases never go to court. The defense attorney will do everything in their power to make it appear as if the victim "deserved what they got". See the thing that most people fail to understand is that a rape isn't about sex at all. It's about power. It's about someone getting a kick out of dominating another person. There is another word for that kind of person and that is a bully. Most bullies you know from school I guarantee you that more than half of them are sex offenders. One of the very reasons that "normal" people are so quick to judge the victims of those horrid crimes is because society doesn't want to look at itself. We as a people can be cruel but we dont like to see us like that. It is far easier to say that the girl was dressed very *friendly* personty or "led the guy on" than to admit that their friends, neighbors, or family members are just perverts.

Sorry my cat actually jumped on the keyboard. It is far easier to say that the girl was dressed very *very *friendly* personty* or just "led the guy on" than to admit that their friends, neighbors, or family members are just perverts.
