Alrighty so if any of you saw my thoughts on the green lantern film coming out for DC this is pretty much the same thing for what marvel's doing. this is for Thor. (if you havent seen my thoughts on green lantern check it out in the DC movies section and if you havent seen the thor movie trailer check it out on youtube).
To begin I need to confess. i am not familier with who's acting as thor. Although i must say he looks the part indeed. But i dissaprove of his accent. It doesnt have enough "thou" and "thee" and all that asgardian greatness that makes thor stand out. But for the most part, they got it right.
When it comes down to special effects I must say I was dissapointed that there were no lightning things happening in the trailer. and by that i mean all thor was doing was punching and kicking and whacking with his hammer. I wanted to see lightning. especially since at the end of the trailer they were able to do fire effects so well for the huge robot guy (its either the destroyer armor or ultron). But for the most part it looks true to the comics. And I like hoe they went for the original look on thor's hammer rather than the ultimates version.
Now as we all know marvel is now owned by disney. So, we may see some disney touches in the film here and there. Disney hasnt been doing to well for themselves as it is from what ive seen, but perhaps they can deliver on thor regardless.
All in all, it looks decent. Its true to the comics, the actor for thor is good. I kinda wish we could see more specail effects, but then again i guess that would spoil the whole film. It looks good, just not as good as Green Lantern.
