I know that Aquaman defeated namor, strictly due to voting, but after further looking into the character, he's stood toe to toe with The Hulk, Thor, and even gained Silver Surfers respect. I actually believe he could possibly beat Superman. Thoughts?

I would think so, but only in his element, water. He could only stand up to the Hulk whe he was in the water.

Whooo yeah Namor!
If it the Ultimate Namor that would be cool, he nearly killed everyone in New york by a massive flood creature thingy.
I agree in his element yes, but then again same for Superpants.

Right, if the battle takes place in the air or ground, Namor is flattened.

Superman can fight under water no problem! I say he'll wipe the ocean floor with Sub Mariner!

So how far out of the suns reach does Superman have to be before he loses his power? Because if you journey down deep enough in the ocean, there is no sunlight. Or do obstacles not matter? Does he just need to be a certain distance from it? I don't know if they ever got into that much detail in Supermans comics. DC doesn't think that need to explain anything. Just like his fans, he's Superman, he can do anything he wants and can beat everyone and is unstoppable and blah blah blah. Namor is alot more powerful than DC fans realize, but I would give this one to Superman.

he is weak compared to supes, any place any time supers would crush him. U should research supes strength. At the most Namor could live 85 tons. Supes at the very least could press 1000 times that

Superman's strength is 100 tons. In most stats it's called unearthly or class 100. Lifting 85 tons isn't exactly weak to anyone. Unless an updated comic changed Superman's strength. Which is very possible. Namor's strength also replinishes faster when he is submerged in water, along with the rest of his power. (Mostly endurance and speed) He'd have alot better chance in the water, but Superman would still win.

Lol, superman is well above 85 tons, The man can lift a space rocket which is approx 18 million tons. (no lie). Watch the supers movies, read his comics

Namor doesn't stand a chance with Superman. I'm not saying that Superman is sooooo powerful, but even on land Namor can't take on Superman.

I have read Superman comics. They keep making him more and more powerful. Which is stupid. One comic, he becomes so powerful, he blows out a star with his breath. If he can do this, who can stop him? Ok. If no one can stop him, what does he do? I mean, what villians would he face? He doesn't seem to have it very rough. My father seems like a greater hero than superman. An unstoppable hero makes a pretty stupid story. Why is he a hero? What does he overcome? Saving humanity? All comic heroes do that. And by the way, Superman wasn't that powerful when he first was created. There doesn't seem to be an intelligent reason why he gains that much power. If only a red sun makes kryptonians so powerful, why didn't they all come here?

I don't think they all knew that. They just decided to send Kal-El to some place safe before Krypton blew up, and it happened to be a planet with a red sun. Lucky. With all those powers that Superman is developing, you're right savagehenry. What's the point of being too powerful? The answer: He doesn't HAVE to use those powers, he just does what he can for people, even if they didn't need help. And of course your father is a greater hero than Superman. Superman can never replace anyones father.
