I used to be a boxing fan, but the more I found out about it, the more it seemed like it was just about money. I watched an old fight of Lenox Lewis against Ray Mercer. Neither fighter really did alot in this fight, but it seemed to me that Mercer had won. Lewis seemed flashier at times, but Mercer did the same thing without being as flashy. And was more aggressive. Mercer also outjabbed Lewis like 120 to 106. Lewis, of course won the fight. Now I think that Mercer won the fight, and I am a Lenox Lewis fan. I know that I'm not a judge, but I have eyes also. I do not like to think that sports are rigged because it doesn't seem that it would be fun to watch them anymore. Are there any fights that you have watched and think that the loser got ripped off? And do you think that boxing is fixed?

My dad is into Khmer and Thai boxing. Although the Thais took the credit and claimed they came up with Muay Thai. In reality the real term would be Pradalserey, and the Cambodians came up with it. It was descended from an ancient Khmer kickboxing martial arts called Bokator. At the moment, some people are trying to revive Bokator back. At the moment, I'm working on a project that I hope would one day help bring Bokator back to it's rightful place.

Also, I'm not sure if boxing is rigged, I'll ask my dad, and see his opinion on this.

A lot of the fights seem rigged. There would be no hype if there wasn't a chance of a rematch. I'm not sure if they all are, but the most popular ones seem to be.

My dad suspects that some matches are rigged.

They might have stole Thai kickboxing, but it's pretty awesome. I never knew that Cambodians came up with it first. But then again, I don't know everything, just almost everything. ha ha. Sorry, I amuse myself sometimes. I have been getting into more UFC and Pride fighting, but don't really watch alot of those either. I don't really watch alot of television.

wathanaketh I concur with your dad. I think that most orginized contests are fixed or are able to be so anyway. It's all about money. I've went from being an avid American Boxing fan to one that wouldn't care if they ever had another event. I'm also with you savagehenry. I don't watch a lot of television anymore.

Oh btw savagehenry. If you want to see a blatant screw job just watch the first Holyfield vs Lewis fight. I'm not what you'd call a Lewis fan in fact I was pulling for Holyfield but Holyfield was outboxed that night and won by split decision. I was outraged.
