One thing that I really love about songs are the lyrics. I like to sing, even though I can't, so lyrics are important to me. What are your favorite songs? I figured you could write the lyrics if you wanted to. You could write a verse or the whole freakin' thing.

I'll come back as soon as I get lyrics on some of my favorite songs.

I mostly listen to Heavy Metal, but this is an awesome song by one of the greatest bands to have ever been.
Mama told me when I was young, "Come sit beside me, my only son and listen closely to what I say, and if you do this, it will help you some sunny day. Take your time...don't live too fast, troubles will come and they will pass. Go find a woman and you'll find love, and don't forget, son, there is someone up above." "And be a simple kind of man, be something you love and understand. Be a simple kind of man. Won't you do this for me, son, if you can?" "Forget your lust for rich man's gold, all that you need is in your soul, and you can do this if you try. All that I want for you, my son, is to be satisfied." "And be a simple kind of man, be something you love and understand. Be a simple kind of man. Won't you do this for me, son, if you can?" "Boy, don't you worry...you'll find yourself. Follow your heart and nothing else. And you can do this if you try. All that I want for you, my son, is to be satisfied."

Oh, and here's one of my favorite song lyrics. It's called "The Voice" by Lisa Kelly from the group Celtic Woman.
I hear your voice on the wind And I hear you call out my name
"Listen my child," you say to me "I am the voice of your history Be not afraid, come follow me Answer my call, and I'll set you free"
I am the voice in the wind and the pouring rain I am the voice of your hunger and pain I am the voice that always is calling you I am the voice, I will remain
I am the voice in the fields when the summer's gone The dance of the leaves when the autumn winds blow Ne'er do I sleep throughtout all the cold winter long I am the force that in springtime will grow
I am the voice of the past that will always be Filled with my sorrow and blood in my fields I am the voice of the future, bring me your peace Bring me your peace, and my wounds, they will heal
I am the voice in the wind and the pouring rain I am the voice of your hunger and pain I am the voice that always is calling you I am the voice
I am the voice of the past that will always be I am the voice of your hunger and pain I am the voice of the future I am the voice, I am the voice I am the voice, I am the voice

Is Celtic Woman from another country? The lyrics are pretty cool.

They're from Ireland. Am I doomed or something, since you called me a poor soul?

No, I was just f**king with you. Lynyrd Skynyrd is one of the greatest bands of all time. These retards at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, just inducted them last year. Here is a song by another inductee from last year, Black Sabbath. The song is called, Children Of The Grave.
Revolution in their minds-the children start to march. Against the world they have to live in. Oh! The hate that's in their hearts. They're tired of being pushed around and told just what to do. They'll fight the world until they've won and love comes flowing through.
Children of tomorrow live in the tears that fall today. Will the sunrise of tomorrow bring in peace in any way. Must the world live in the shadow of atomic fear? Can they win the fight for peace or will they disappear?
So you children of the world listen to what I say. If you want a better place to live in spread the words today. Show the world that love is still alive you must be brave. Or you children of today are children of the grave.

I think the people in the 60's and 70's weren't paying attention to Black Sabbath's lyrics. They just heard the heavy metal sound and the way they looked and thought they were in love with the devil or something.

Well, people are afraid of something new or unfamiliar.

Here is a song from one of my favorite bands, Megadeth. This song is from their cd, Youthanasia. The song has the same name.
Who'd believe with the way things are here We'd be going anywhere telling people how to live? Who'd believe we'd spend more shippin' drugs and guns Than to educate our sons? Sorry but that's what they did
I can't help but think, someone's forsaken you and me
Luck deserted me and the truth beat out my brains Men rise on stepping stones of theirselves to higher things I've stepped over lots of bodies on my way Thanks for the information don't need no more anything
We are the d**ned of all the world With sadness in our hearts The wounded of the wars We've been hung out to dry
You didn't want us anyway And now we're making up our minds You tell us how to run our lives We run for youthanasia
