I was just on www.marvelcomics.com, and they have a video of a Superman toy and a Spider-Man toy talking to each other about Superman Returns. I think you DC fans that like things to make sense and have good stories to start complaining to DC. It seems like they have been slowly drowning for years and try desperately to compete with Marvel but keep coming up short. Superman Returns is only one example. What are your opinions of each company?

What are you saying? Anyways, I really like DC Comics, since most of their stuff have been around me my whole life. As for Marvel, I'm not going to bash it, even though I don't read their comics. I'm not going to be a hater. Marvel has to be great as DC, since both of them have been around for so long. So both of them had better keep up the good work, if they want to continue to linger.

Well, like I said before, I liked Superman Returns, as I like all superhero movies. But, seeing other movies and comics, you know that it is capable of so much more. Superman doesn't really do anything in this movie. Except towards the end of the movie, where he does something that doesn't make any sense. (I'm talking about when he lifts an entire continent full of kryptonite, and throws it into space) DC tells us that Superman pretty much gets poisoned and weakened by kryptonite, but all of a sudden, he doesn't? In Superman 1, he nearly dies from wearing a small chunk of it around his neck. But in this one, Lex Luthor not only stabs him with it, he breaks off a peice of it in his back. Um, shouldn't he be dead? I think that you are right about if these companies wish to continue, they must keep doing good work. I feel DC comics did this with Batman Begins. They did an excellent job with Superman Returns' casting. But I feel if their is another Superman movie like this one, it will flop.

For their sake, it had better not flop.

I am a BIG fan of that video and its sequals. Now mind u, i am familiar with the creator and can tell u that he is does NOT like DC. I happen to be neutral between DC and MARVEL, as i like both equally. BUT, i wouldnt be a fan of this video if he didnt treat them both solidly on popular opinion. With that said, i would recommend watching this video and its sequals with enjoyment. He does indeed BASH DC, but he does that to MARVEL as well. I personally dont condone in flaming one or the other. I'm sure if u enjoy nice puns and jokes, u will take no offense. P.S. Its a parody of the very famous "Im a MAC and im a P.C." commercials. The link to all his parodies is here. www.youtube.com/user/ItsJustSomeRandomGuy

Thanks for the information. I never liked DC comics growing up, mainly because of Superman. More than Superman, though, I didn't like DC because of the lack of villians. The villians seem so inferior to their counterparts, that it wasn't very fun to read. DC's heroes are great. So why not make them fight great villians? I'll never understand it. That's why the Superman vs. Hulk fight didn't make any sense. Superman doesn't fight Hulk caliber enemies on a regular basis. The Hulk does though. I think that Superman can beat the Hulk, but knocking the Hulk out was stupid. It didn't make any sense. The Hulk has fought people stronger than Superman. That hits harder. These comics were written by DC. It seemed like DC comics were desperate by having such an ending to that fight.

My teacher wanted to show me a hilarious video, and it turned out to be the very one you two were talking about. I thought it was cheap. Why waste their time bashing DC's and their own? Savagehenry, Tobius wanted to me to tell you that you were only hyped up about it, because you liked how a Marvel character bashed your most hated superhero. Anyways, I just was disappointed that they would take a shot like that. I would be disappointed in DC if they did the same thing as Marvel. Sigh. Rivalries. What's next? An actual commercial of Marvel and DC duking it out on YouTube?

I didn't get hyped up over it. I thought that it was a little funny. If DC did the same thing, I'd laugh at it, too. I wished these two companies would stop worrying as much about the other, and just start being original. It is nowhere as bad as when I was growing up, I think, but DC still needs to improve on it's villians. That Justice League cartoon seemed to understand that idea. I have heard they are making a Wonder Woman movie, though. All I can say is, it's about freakin' time. Oh yeah, the next Batman movie comes out next year, and Heath Ledger is playing the Joker. I think that he needs to redeem himself after playing a gay cowboy. I liked Heath Ledger until he played in Brokeback Mountain

Brokeback Mountain? You can't be freakin' serious. Hell no I didn't watch that movie. I never will. I'm not gay for one thing. You want to make some movie about two f*gs coming into terms with who they are. Ok. Whatever. It's still yucky, but ok. But to make a movie about two gay cowboys is an insult to America. Cowboys were always perceived as real men. Men who were tough. To make a movie like this is like slapping America in the face. To act in a movie like this, means you are gay.

I wonder who they will get to play Wonder Woman?

I think they should have Lynda Carter, the original Wonder Woman, be the new Wonder Woman's mother.

I saw those movies with the toys. they're not just kinda funny, but they are pretty darb accurate. It's a pity that Heath Leger died, so there is no way there will be a sequel with the Joker in it. He was a good actor. I liked that movie when he pretended to be a knight. What was it called?

First of all Dc copied Marvel, by making the Justice League; may i remind you all that justice league wasn't really a success full series! Now they copied the marvel by making a team series just like marvel! We all know who won that battle, and it was Marvel..
I am a fan of Dc, but some of their characters are pretty disappointing; remember, this is just my opinion...

Marvel and DC have copied and poked fun at each other all the time. In the Batman/Superman series, there was the Maximum which was basically the Avengers while Marvel had Virtue aka the Tiller (I think) who was a reporter for the Daily Bugle from the country where his parents found him in an alien spacecraft. It's nothing new and I usually get a kick out of it when I see things like that.
